This Kyoto Photography Tour offers a relaxed, adaptable experience — you can follow a suggested route or tailor the shoot around what catches your eye. Some photographers are drawn to Kyoto’s historic temples and classic streetscapes, while others focus on lantern-lit paths, subtle details, or spontaneous street moments that reveal everyday life.
We’ll visit well-known and lesser-seen areas including Gion, Yasaka Pagoda, Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Pontocho Alley, and the Kamo River, each with its own character — from iconic scenery to layered street scenes and changing light.
The tour runs for 3 or 6 hours and is private, making it suitable for photography enthusiasts, travelers, and content creators. The meeting point is outside Yasaka Shrine.
Along the way, you’ll learn practical approaches to composition, exposure, light, and timing using any camera or smartphone, with the focus on capturing Kyoto in a natural, personal way.
